Moshi Cultural Village Tour
The Chagga people have lived on the slopes of Kilimanjaro for centuries, developing a sophisticated society built around the mountain's fertile volcanic soil, intricate irrigation systems and coffee cultivation.
This half-day tour visits a real Chagga village on the outskirts of Moshi - not a staged tourist experience, but an authentic look at daily life. You'll visit a traditional homestead, a local primary school, a village market and a family's small-scale banana and coffee shamba.
Your guide, born and raised in the community, provides honest and personal insights into Chagga traditions, religion, food and history. A small contribution from each visit supports the village school's resources.
