Tarangire Safari Tour
Tarangire National Park is Tanzania's most underrated safari destination - and for those who know it, one of the most memorable. Named after the Tarangire River, which acts as a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season, the park contains Tanzania's highest concentration of elephants outside the Serengeti.
Ancient baobab trees - some over 1,000 years old - tower over the open woodland. Large herds of elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and giraffe move through the landscape. Predators follow: lion, leopard and cheetah are all regularly seen.
This full-day trip departs Arusha early for a full game drive along the river circuit, with a packed lunch in the park and an afternoon drive before returning to Arusha.
